Description

CoQ10-RED delivers a unique cardiovascular health-promoting advantage.

This unique product features L-Citrulline, an amino acid that is readily converted to L-Arginine, which can then be converted into Nitric Oxide within the body. With a dynamic combination of targeted botanicals and nutrients,

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is an antioxidant naturally present in every cell of the body and whose production may decrease as we age.* The heart needs a continuous supply of CoQ10 to generate energy and to combat free radicals and oxidative stress.* Nitric Oxide is a naturally-occurring compound in the body that plays a key role in cardiovascular health.* It helps blood vessels relax and dilate, allowing more blood to flow throughout the body.*

Details on CoQ10-RED™

An Ounce of Prevention is a Pound of Cure

Approximately half of all Americans (47%) have at least one of the three key risk factors for heart disease: high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and a history of smoking.[1] Uncontrolled high blood pressure can lead to stroke, heart attack, and/or kidney failure by damaging the vessels that carry blood to and from major organ systems.

Some of the factors contributing to heart disease cannot be controlled, such as age or family history. However, steps can be taken to lower CVD risk by changing the factors that can be controlled. So what is in our control?

Ascending the Path to Cardiovascular Health

Exercise, diet, stress management, and smoking cessation top the list of modifiable lifestyle factors that strongly influence cardiovascular health. At the interface of these lifestyle factors and cardiovascular health is the topic of free-radical damage.

A core concept in establishing cardiovascular health is meeting free-radicals with the neutralizing effect of potent antioxidants. When free-radicals consistently win this battle, CVD becomes more and more of a possibility. Fortunately, we have the ability to increase levels of antioxidants in our body via the foods we eat and the supplements we consume. However, reducing exposure to free-radicals is another obstacle that is not so easily overcome and requires our diligent effort and energy input on a daily basis.

CoQ10-RED™ Delivers the Goods

CoQ10-RED™ is a multi-pronged formula designed to promote heart health while providing Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) for energy production, a Nitric Oxide boost to support blood flow, antioxidant protection to protect from free-radicals, and MCTs for energy bursts. This product supplies a blend of nutrients and botanical ingredients that help support heart and vascular health through a variety of mechanisms.

CoQ10 - It's What Your Heart Desires

CoQ10-RED™ provides Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), a vitamin-like substance naturally present in every cell of the body. Not only is CoQ10 a powerful antioxidant that protects cell membranes against free radical damage, it plays an essential role in energy production.

Each cell is constantly producing energy in the form of a molecule called Adenosine triphosphate (ATP). This molecule is made in the energy factory of the cell, otherwise known as the mitochondria. CoQ10 plays an integral role in this process, transporting electrons through the electron transport chain and functioning as a proverbial "work horse" in the production of ATP. Without CoQ10, energy production in every cell of the body is significantly compromised.[2]

The heart, which needs a constant supply of energy for its continuous actions of pumping and contracting, has the highest concentration of CoQ10 of all tissues in the body. With increasing age, a decline in the levels of CoQ10 is found in the energy centers of muscle cells resulting in decreasing energy levels and less antioxidant protection as we get older.

While CoQ10 can be found in many foods, it exists in small concentrations. Supplementation with CoQ10 has been researched to increase tissue levels of this compound in the heart muscle. CoQ10-RED™ provides 100 mg CoQ10 per recommended daily dose, thereby helping maintain optimum levels of this important nutrient.

Nitric Oxide Boost

In addition to delivering energy and potent antioxidant activity, this formula includes blood flow optimizing ingredients such as Gingko biloba extract and the amino acid L-Citrulline.[4] In the body, L-Citrulline is readily converted to L-Arginine — the precursor of Nitric Oxide. Nitric Oxide is the body's most important chemical involved in relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow to all tissues and organs, most notably the heart, liver, kidneys, and brain. Optimal blood flow is an indispensable goal in improving cardiovascular health and is thoroughly addressed with daily supplementation of CoQ10-RED™.

Antioxidant Protection Taken to the Next Level

CoQ10-RED™ delivers potent antioxidants to protect the heart and vessels from the damaging effects of free-radicals. In addition to the potent antioxidant activity of CoQ10, this formula includes the revered antioxidants Resveratrol and Citrus Bioflavonoids.

Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs)

MCTs are shorter than Long Chain Triglycerides (such as fish oil and flaxseed oil). This reduction in molecular weight means they're absorbed much faster and immediately converted into cellular energy. The result is a quick burst of energy for the body.[5,6]
